It has a large movie theater, a full food court, and is currently undergoing a major renovation to add a massive bowling alley and arcade. But much like all malls, it's been undergoing some changes as the retail market recalibrates, and that means bringing in more unique and specialty stores.
One of those is Nuts Factory, a specialty candy and nut retailer that has become a thriving small chain across the northeast. This delicious destination recently moved to the second floor, and with that, it underwent a rebrand of its own. While it still has the bins of candy and snacks to choose from, it's now one of the best spots to get Dubai Chocolate in New Jersey. This unique confection is taking the world by storm, and I was shocked to discover my local mall was now a must-visit for fans!
Nuts Factory is located only minutes from the movie theater on the second floor of Menlo Park Mall, and right across from the food court. But don't fill up there—you'll want plenty of room to indulge in all the treats at this delicious destination.
Nuts Factory recently moved into a slightly smaller space, but I don't think they really reduced their inventory. There's still a massive selection of treats, including nuts, candy, and savory crackers, many with a Middle Eastern flair.
The store's original signature was its massive nut selection—more than 25 kinds of flavored nuts, ranging from savory Za'atar-dusted cashews to sweet matcha-coated almonds. These are all sold by weight, so make sure to check the price of each item before you mix and match for your own unique combo!
The store also sells packaged cookies and cakes from around the world, but recently, they've pivoted to celebrating the most popular confection in the world. A whole shelf is dedicated to Dubai Chocolate, the uniquely filled chocolate that incorporates pistachio and phyllo pastry into its center. Here, it's sold in both the classic variant and in unique flavors like white chocolate, birthday cake, and s'mores.
You don't have to wait until you get home to enjoy it, either—the most unique feature at this location is a stand that serves cups of fresh strawberries drizzled with your choice of Dubai Chocolate flavor. It's a sweet, indulgent, and messy way to end your visit to the Nuts Factory.
