New Jersey’s a fairly small state, so most destinations don’t require an extensive trip to get to. Still, when you’re talking the most northern or southern areas of the state, it can be quite a trip to get there – which makes restaurants there all the more dependent on the small-town residents who make up the bulk of their business. Still, occasionally word gets around and people from all over the state start to make their way to quiet places like Blairstown, near the Pennsylvania border in northwestern Jersey. That’s where you’ll find the most remote brewery in New Jersey – Buck Hill Brewery & Restaurant. This rustic lodge on the outskirts of town serves a wide variety of craft beer – which goes perfectly with the hearty, rustic, European-inspired menu on offer. We think it’s definitely worth a trip from anywhere in the state to sample it for yourself!
It might be a long drive to get to Buck Hill Brewery in Blairstown, but that green awning will be a very welcome sight.
This laid-back, rural eatery and brewpub has a great vibe, feeling a bit like an old hunting lodge in the decor.
But that doesn’t mean it’s without modern comforts – this is a popular spot in the area for watching the big game.
