To find the best New Jersey Airbnbs near the 2026 World Cup, look in the charming towns surrounding the stadium—and book soon!

If you're like me, you're excited for one of the biggest events to come to the Garden State in decades: the FIFA World Cup 2026! Held across North America, this event will be hosting games in sixteen cities from June 11th to June 19th. One of those cities is New York—or rather, East Rutherford, New Jersey, home to MetLife Stadium. This massive sports facility regularly plays host to the Jets and Giants as well as countless high-profile concerts. If you're planning to attend the games here, you'll want a good place to stay. East Rutherford does have some Airbnbs available, but those were among the first to go, so the best Airbnbs in New Jersey near the 2026 World Cup are found in the surrounding towns. Each of these five Airbnbs is less than half an hour away from the stadium and offers great surroundings and top-tier comfort.

1. Cozy Cabin Style Apartment (Montclair)

This Montclair Cabin-Style Apartment is ideal for a couple, as it sleeps two. Only twenty minutes from the stadium and a few minutes away from the city center, it's located in a historic building and has a cozy, intimate vibe that's perfect for a quiet getaway after an intense game, and there are special romantic packages available. If you're looking for a unique adventure near your home base, the Montclair Rose Garden is a must-visit.

2. One-Bedroom Flat (Union City)

This cozy one-bedroom flat in Union City is one of the closest Airbnbs you can find to the game. being only ten minutes away by car. This apartment is suitable for up to four people, and it has one of the most unique art styles I've seen in an Airbnb apartment in NJ. There's even an old-fashioned cuckoo clock on the wall for a little retro charm.

3. Private Studio (Edgewater)

This private studio in Edgewater is located in the heart of one of my favorite towns in the state, and it has a unique, quirky design that makes it ideal for those seeking a budget-friendly option. It sleeps up to four people, and has a vibe more like a really nice, spacious hotel room. Edgewater is only 18 minutes from MetLife Stadium by car, and this rental will put you within walking distance of Mitsuwa, my favorite supermarket in the state.

4. Modern Apartment With City Views (Guttenberg)

This airy corner suite in Guttenberg is one of the most spacious on this list, thanks to its open layout. It sleeps four, but with far more room and great views. This is an ideal spot for someone who is on a working trip, covering the game, as the work desk is conveniently located near the TV. Guttenberg is only 15 minutes from the stadium and is in one of the best dining areas in the entire Garden State.

5. Victorian Brownstone (Hoboken)

This unique Hoboken brownstone might be the most beautiful Airbnb in an urban area in the state, as it's been lovingly preserved since 1890 and has maintained so much of its authentic charm. The perfect mix of modern and classical, it sleeps up to four guests and is only 25 minutes from the stadium. While you're in Hoboken, make sure to stop by Lolo's Tapas Bar for the best small plates in NJ.
