The Great Falls In New Jersey Will Soon Be Surrounded By Beautiful Fall Colors

Fall is a perfect time to visit the Great Falls in New Jersey for stunning foliage and scenic views.

It’s officially fall in New Jersey and beautiful foliage isn’t far behind. The leaves have already started changing color in some parts of the state. We can’t wait for the striking shades of red and gold on the trees, especially around our very own most impressive landmark – The Great Falls in New Jersey. Beautiful all year, fall is a great time for families and photographers alike to take a scenic day trip to this magnificent waterfall for one of the best views in the Garden State.

According to local foliage prediction maps, peak foliage around the falls will be between October 5th and October 19th.

However, any time between now and the end of the first week of November should be quite lovely.

Enjoy vibrant colors and one of the largest waterfalls by volume on the East Coast!

Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park also offers a welcome center, tours, and a nearby museum, , as well as one impressive new feature that just opened in 2018…

A massive amphitheater in nearby Overlook Park! This is a great place to catch outdoor shows, so keep an eye on the area for special programming in the fall.

Fall in New Jersey can be a rainy season, so keep an eye on the weather for when you go. However, rain can have a side effect – more powerful rushing waters on the falls, which makes for an incredible view if you’re in the area.
